A little less stylized than my usual stuff.

It's a very dark picture, yes, I know. I hope you can see it on your monitor. You should just barely be able to make out some green stripes on the wall. If you can see them very easily, then the pic is too bright. And if you can't see them at all, it's too dark.

I'm very happy with the way the two people came out. I'm fairly satisfied with the background. Not sure about the foreground though. I have one version with the vines and trellis, and one version without. Considering the name I had in mind was "arboretum", I thought it'd make more sense to leave the vines in. I'm just not sure if this is the version that looks better. Anyhoo, gonna make a print of this anyway because I have to do so quickly if I'm going to get this in time for my Dad's birthday. (It's a pretty somber pic for a birthday present, but heh, my parents don't mind. Haha.) XP

The usual. Done from start to finish in Photoshop. No references. I have no idea how long this took. Worked on it on and off all Spring Break.

I see shades of Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles in this, oddly enough. But that is just my observation, of course.

gorgeous! I love dark pictures, I'm not sure why. but this is amazing the anatomy is fantastic for not using references. Wonderful piece, beautiful colouring! :D

Haku, you just keep getting better and better! This one is GORGEOUS. Your best work yet, especially with my super-bright Apple flatscreen. I can see all of the green and all of the beautiful details. I want a print of this like now. It's so classy that it could easily hang anywhere! <3 <3

Oh, lovely. I think the vines are a nice touch, the picture wouldn't look the same without them. You did a great job, I'm sure your parents will love this. I know I do. =)

Haven't seen anything from you in a while, but in your absence you have become better! :3 The hair is absopositivelutely realistic and completely awesome, and your backgrounds have gotten even cooler. I think the trellis gives the entire pic a sense of place (if that makes sense), and it also kind of holds the title in place. Your dad better like it, 'cause I do!
