Artist's Comments

This started out as a speedpaint. Added some detailing to it and polished it up a bit. And uh, there's nothing much else to say about it. The usual, done on Photoshop from start to finish. No refs on this one. It took abuot 1 hour 40 minutes.

Sharp sword, short temper. Any questions?

That's so impressive - what a sense of movement. Well done

...That is Kenshin, right? Or am I just drawing off of old paintings? Looks like Battosi to me. (I can't spell).

Well, whether it is or not, I love it, and I'm faving.

This is the best kind of person to talk to: someone who is willing to take an honest look at the evidence. Being willing is essential. Evidence cannot convince the unwilling.

Oh cool! I have a hard time figuring out what's exactly going on here, but I love it for that. Really good use of the light contrast.

I am loving the movement here! It's different from what I've usually seen from you - sometimes the relatively quick-rendered stuff leaves the viewer with the same elated feelings that more detailed paintings do.

By the way, you ever consider doing one of those nifty walkthrough things? I've been wanting to warm up to the idea of using Photoshop to paint but I still can't seem to be as efficient as I am in simplier programs like OpenCanvas, and those dang Oekaki applets. It should be the other way around, you know? xD Anyway, you're one - if not my favorite artist who uses Photoshop "from start to finish", so it would definitely be an honor to see your work in different stages of creation.
