motoko kusanagi

Major Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell. Sorta. I took some liberties. And obviously, it's not done in the style or tone of the movies. I always feel vaguely weird about categorizing my fanart as anime art since I don't think my style is particular anime-ish. Oh well. Did this one to play around with light sources.

The figure was sketched and colored in Photoshop. No references used. The background is a manipulated photograph I took of a parking garage. Total time about 3-4 hours.

EDIT: D'oh, yeah, the neck does look really weird. I fixed it up a little bit. It's still on the long side, but hopefully doesn't look quite so strange. Thanks to everyone who pointed that out.
