Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine  that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam  deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.
I know this is a no-duh for 90% of people reading it but for the sake of the rest lets revise what we all should know about online phishig. And before you go all:

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

5 Years at DA & Contest Results

Figured I'd post a little entry today since it marks my 5th DA anniversary.  Heh.  I can't believe it's been that long.  It really doesn't feel like it.  I love this site as much as ever.  I've met so many wonderful people here.  And just associating with so many artists and enjoying myself, I feel like my art's improved in a way it wouldn't have had I not found this place.  So, anyway, thanks to everyone who pops by for a visit from time to time, and thanks to the wonderful friends and acquaintances I've made.  It's been a great 5 years, and I look forward to many more.  I count myself a very fortunate gal for having met you all.  Yay!  :)

In other news... My annual Rurouni Kenshin contest has wrapped up.  Incidentally, this is also the 5th year I've been running the contest.  :)  We had so many awesome entries this year!  Thanks so much to everyone who participated:  artists, judges, and viewers.  Awards are posted here:  [link]

Yes! I won my warm and happy glow and that's really what matters! ^.^

It's no good if you're looking to the contest just to gain a prize. Because the feeling of 'losing' could be quite intense and unwanted. =( Instead, I think my technique improved a bit more after doing that. ^.^

I hope to enter next year as well!

I always hope that people who didn't win a prize don't feel like they're losing. Because honestly, many of the non-prize winning entries are really wonderful. Some of my personal favorites didn't necessarily win a prize.
