Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

Just a reminder that there are only 5 days left in my Rurouni Kenshin fanart contest. Please do consider joining if you haven't already. (The top prize includes a choice of a 1 year subscription to DA!) ^_^ For some unknown reason, there aren't too many entries this year.

  Are people not interested in RK anymore?  Is the fandom waning?  I hope not.

Speaking of Kenshin, I had the great fortune to meet one of my heroes this past weekend at San Diego Comic Con.  Nobuhiro Watsuki, the creator of Rurouni Kenshin, was there promoting his new series, Buso Renkin, and I got to attend his panel.  Also got an autograph from him afterwards.  And I was able to give him a small 4x6 print of my Shinsengumi pic as a gift.  I wish I had brought my Kenshin art with me, but I had no idea that he would be attending the con, so I didn't have them at all.  I was lucky I happened to have the Shinsengumi print.  I know he's a Shinsengumi fan.  I was shaking when I gave it to him.  (So not worthy!!!!)  ^_^

But wow, it was such a thrill.  I think those of you who know me know that I've been MASSIVELY OBSESSED with Kenshin for years.  I run a website dedicated to the fandom, and the series has been a great inspiration to me artwise.  So to meet the guy in person was almost too good to be true.

My friend Dlin was witness to some rather embarrassing fan-girlish squeaking on my part.

  Sorry about that, Dlin!  And thank you for doing all the talking for me when I was busy blushing and making a giddy fool of myself.

Oh, I also got to meet Jon Foster, another artist I admire at the con.  He was selling prints in Artist Alley, and I happily bought one.  He seemed very nice and down to earth.  His wife was very nice too.  Not to mention gorgeous.  ^_^

Anyway, I'm in love with San Diego Comic Con.  I definitely have to go back next year.  It was so much fun.  And there was so much to see and do.  It made Anime Expo look like a game of tiddly winks, and I thought AX was cool.  O.O

Okay, enough gushing.  Seriously, though.  I was so thrilled to have met Watsuki-sensei.  The happiness still hasn't quite worn off.  Hee!

Hehehehe, it was cute. It really was. It's too bad Watsuki-sensei didn't speak just a tad more English or one of us a tad more Japanese, though he seemed very nice. He seemed a bit nervous to be meeting so many people who didn't speak any Japanese at all, not that i could blame him. It seemed as if he liked the print, and appreciated the gift. I hope he visits your website. ^^

LUCKY!! I've been an RK fan since the first manga in japanese came out. in fact, it's why I'm growing my hair out and also i'm gonna color it dark red. and yea, i wish i couldve gone and gave my kenshin artwork..btw, is buso renkin good..the main character looks awfully like Yahiko when Yahiko grew up in the manga vol 28. o.o he's hot. lol although its weird for a guy to say that

I missed out on Watsuki.... ohhh... my tiny little heart is now broken. Would I have know he'd be there I would have made the trip for at least one day. I'm sure he probably got home and framed that pic of the Shinsengumi and was as gitty as a girl as well that he got such an excellent piece of artwork.

Aww, you would've enjoyed the panel, I'm sure.

He seemed more confused than anything when I first gave him the picture. Dlin said it was a present, and I think he recognized that word, because then he said "Oh, present!". LOL. He didn't speak and English, and neither Dlin nor I speak any Japanese, so I'm sure it was a pretty comical situation all around.
